Mother Abasika Vidyalaya is operating in the district since 2006 and has been providing parental care and social security to 308 children of SC & ST community of the district. The secretary ,Ms Pravasini Nanda is a dedicated social worker of the district who has assimilated those children of the vulnerable segment of the society into the mainstream of the social life and has made unstained efforts to ensure the psychological; moral ,physical and intellectual development as well as character building of those children who were groaning under abject poverty.

Activities
Since 2011-12 this organization is running a crčche center at panipoila in district of Nayagarh normally 20 children remain in this crčche within the age group of 1 to 6 years .this organization is provided toys and other play materials for the children. Supplementary nutrition has also been provided to the children .During this year ,meeting with the parents of the children were held twice in which discussion were made on smooth running of the creche.
This organization has promoted self help groups numbering 2.25 by taking rural poor woman. Marginal farmer’s share proper destitude in the locality of odagaon & Nayagarh Block ,Nuagoan Block of Nayagada District .This institute has imparted training on management of S.H.G under S.G.SY scheme.
To aware the people on reproductive & child health, we have organization pala, folk dance and folk song in each village. It has played with a topic form the epics. In between the topic it has given the messages about drawbacks of early marriages, HIV & AIDS, Temporary ,Permanent spacing methods ,diarrhea, etc.to the people relating to the topic .The conduct of sports and games activities have a good impact upon the people of Nayagarh Block & Odagaon Block.
